1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing, browsing, registering for, or using OFW LoveConnect (the “Website”), you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to abide by these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”). These Terms are a legally binding agreement between you and OFW LoveConnect. If you do not agree with any provision in these Terms, you must discontinue use of the Website immediately. Continued use after updates are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. These Terms apply regardless of whether you are accessing the Website via a desktop, mobile device, or any other platform.

2. Purpose of the Website

OFW LoveConnect exists to provide a safe, supportive, and culturally attuned online community that connects Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) with people who share their values, interests, and relationship goals. The platform fosters friendships, romantic relationships, and networking opportunities for Filipinos working abroad and individuals interested in meaningful, long-distance connections. While the platform welcomes members of all nationalities, the intended primary audience is OFWs and those seeking to build connections with them. OFW LoveConnect does not guarantee romantic success, marriage, or any specific outcome — it merely provides the medium for connection.

3. Eligibility

To use the Website, you must be at least 18 years of age, have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract in your jurisdiction, not be prohibited from using online dating platforms under any applicable laws or regulations, and ensure that your use of the Website is compliant with all local laws in your country of residence.

4. Account Registration & Security

You must create an account to access certain features, providing accurate and truthful information during registration. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your login credentials, and any activity carried out through your account is your responsibility. If you suspect unauthorized use, you must notify OFW LoveConnect immediately so appropriate measures can be taken. Accounts may not be shared, transferred, or sold to another party.

5. User Responsibilities & Acceptable Use

You agree to use OFW LoveConnect in a lawful, respectful, and ethical manner. Prohibited activities include engaging in harassment or abuse such as stalking, bullying, or sending threatening messages; posting inappropriate content such as obscene, sexually explicit, defamatory, discriminatory, or hateful material; soliciting for commercial gain including offering escort services, recruiting for businesses, or promoting unrelated products; committing fraud or misrepresentation such as creating fake profiles or misrepresenting your identity or intentions; exploiting the platform for financial gain such as requesting money or gifts from other members; and interfering with platform operations by introducing viruses, bots, or any code that disrupts the service.

6. Content Ownership & License Grant

You retain ownership of all content, including text, photos, and videos, that you submit. By posting content, you grant OFW LoveConnect a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable license to use, reproduce, adapt, display, and distribute your content solely to operate, market, and improve the Website. You represent and warrant that you have the rights to any content you post and that it does not infringe on any intellectual property rights.

7. Safety Expectations & Interaction Guidelines

You should exercise caution by avoiding early disclosure of sensitive personal information such as your home address, financial details, or work location. If you choose to meet in person, do so in public spaces and inform a trusted friend or family member. Report misconduct using the in-platform reporting tool to alert us to suspicious or abusive behavior. Be aware of and respect cultural differences in values, traditions, and expectations, particularly in an international dating context.

8. Membership Plans, Payments & Refunds

Certain features require a paid subscription. Subscription fees, durations, and benefits will be disclosed before purchase. Payments are processed securely through approved gateways, with charges appearing in the currency selected at checkout. Refunds are granted only under conditions outlined in the platform’s refund policy, such as technical failures that prevent access to paid features, and must be requested within the stated timeframe. OFW LoveConnect reserves the right to modify subscription tiers, pricing, and features with reasonable notice to current subscribers.

9. Suspension, Termination & Account Deletion

We may suspend or terminate your account without notice if you violate these Terms, engage in unlawful or harmful activities on or off the platform that affect our community, or create multiple accounts for deceptive purposes. You may terminate your account at any time via your account settings, after which your profile will no longer be visible to others.

10. Disclaimers

OFW LoveConnect does not conduct criminal background checks on all users. Members are encouraged to use caution and personal judgment. The platform is provided “as is” and no warranties are made as to the accuracy, reliability, or availability of the service. We are not responsible for outcomes of online or in-person interactions between members.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, OFW LoveConnect shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from your use or inability to use the Website. We are not responsible for the conduct of any user, whether online or offline. In any event, our total liability to you for any claims arising from the Website will not exceed the amount you paid, if any, in the preceding six months.

12. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless OFW LoveConnect, its founders, employees, contractors, and affiliates from all claims, damages, liabilities, losses, and expenses arising from your breach of these Terms, your content posted on the Website, and your interactions with other users.

13. Changes to the Terms

We may update these Terms periodically, with changes taking effect immediately upon posting on the Website. You are encouraged to review this page regularly.

14. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines. Disputes will first be addressed via good faith negotiation, and if unresolved, referred to binding arbitration in Metro Manila under the rules of the Philippine Dispute Resolution Center, Inc. (PDRCI).
